Sundeo Contracting Booking Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 25 July 2025

Thank you for choosing Sundeo Contracting! These Booking Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) outline the agreement between you (the “Customer”) and Sundeo Contracting (the “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a sister company to Pegnumi, for the provision of our trade services. By booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t proceed with a booking.

We’re your local lads in vans, offering one-stop services for all trades, including gas safe engineers, sparkies (electricians), plasterers, decorators, tilers, landscapers, plumbers, joiners, big-scale reinstatements, kitchen and bathroom installs, and more. You want it, we got it!

If you have questions, contact us at bookings@sundeocontracting.co.uk.

These Terms may be updated – we’ll post changes on our website.

1. Booking Process

•  Enquiries and Quotes: All jobs start with a free, no-obligation quote. Contact us via phone, email, or our website form with details of your project. We’ll assess your needs (possibly with a site visit) and provide a tailored quote. No set prices – we quote based on your specific job to give you the best possible price.

•  Acceptance: Your booking is confirmed when you accept our quote (verbally, in writing, or via payment of a deposit if required). We’ll send a confirmation with job details, estimated timelines, and costs.

•  Changes: If you change the scope (e.g., add extra work), we’ll provide an updated quote. We may adjust timelines or costs accordingly.

2. Services Provided

•  We provide skilled, qualified tradespeople for home repairs, emergencies, installations, and projects as described on our website.

•  All work complies with UK regulations (e.g., Gas Safe for gas work, NICEIC or equivalent for electrics).

•  Emergencies: Same-day response where possible, subject to availability.

•  Materials: We supply quality materials at cost (included in quote) or use yours if agreed.

3. Payment Terms

•  Quotes and Pricing: Quotes are valid for 30 days and include VAT where applicable. No hidden fees – everything’s upfront.

•  Deposits: For larger jobs (e.g., kitchen installs or reinstatements), we may require a deposit (up to 50%) to secure materials and booking.

•  Payment Schedule:

•  Small jobs/emergencies: Payment on completion.

•  Larger projects: Staged payments (e.g., deposit, progress, final on completion).

•  Methods: Bank transfer, card, or cash. Invoices sent via email.

•  Late Payment: Overdue payments may incur interest at 8% above Bank of England base rate, plus recovery costs.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

•  Your Cancellation:

•  More than 48 hours before start: Full refund of any deposit (minus admin fees up to £50).

•  Less than 48 hours: We may retain the deposit or charge a cancellation fee (up to 20% of quote) to cover costs.

•  After work starts: You’ll pay for work done plus materials.

•  Our Cancellation: Rare, but if we can’t proceed (e.g., due to unforeseen issues), we’ll refund in full and offer alternatives.

•  Rescheduling: Give at least 24 hours’ notice. We may charge if materials are ordered or teams mobilised.

5. Workmanship and Guarantees

•  Quality: We guarantee our work for 12 months (materials per manufacturer warranty). Defects due to our fault? We’ll fix free of charge.

•  Customer Responsibilities: Provide safe access, clear the site, and inform us of hazards (e.g., asbestos). You’re responsible for permits if needed.

•  Delays: We aim for quoted timelines, but delays (e.g., weather, supply issues) may occur. We’ll keep you updated.

6. Liability and Insurance

•  We’re fully insured (public liability up to £5 million).

•  Our Liability: Limited to the quote value for direct losses caused by our negligence. No liability for indirect losses (e.g., business interruption) or pre-existing issues.

•  Your Property: We’ll take care, but you’re responsible for valuables. Report damage immediately.

•  Force Majeure: No liability for delays due to events beyond control (e.g., strikes, pandemics).

7. Complaints and Disputes

•  Not happy? Tell us within 7 days – we’ll resolve promptly.

•  If unresolved, use mediation (e.g., via Trading Standards). Governed by English law; disputes in UK courts.

•  We’re members of [relevant schemes, e.g., TrustMark or Gas Safe Register] for added protection.

8. Data and Privacy

•  We handle your data per our Privacy Policy [link to Privacy Policy]. By booking, you consent to us using your info for the job.

9. General

•  These Terms form the entire agreement. No variations unless in writing.

•  If any part is invalid, the rest stands.

•  Third-party rights excluded under Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

Thanks for booking with Sundeo Contracting – let’s get your project sorted! If needed, call us to explain any part of these Terms.
